C.D.R.F is being organising training and demonstration workshops throughout the state, to train doctors and other healthcare providers. This mass participatory movement with the assistance of trained manpower from within the communities will ultimately serve themselves to improve their quality of life of their people.

The main objective of the training and demonstration workshop was to train the doctors, nurses and paramedical personnel in the prevention and care of Diabetes. Education of the paramedics was considered of paramount importance in improving the care of Diabetes and its related complications within the existing health care system. The idea is to train as many nurses and paramedics as possible and to encourage them to pass on the information and knowledge to handle with Diabetes and its associated complications.

C.D.R.F is the implementer of “Institutional empowerment for diabetic foot-care” supported by World Diabetes Foundation will be providing training to empower & enable 24 doctors, 24 nurses, 300 angawanwadi & 300 asha workers in 6 vulnerable districts of Orissa to provide appropriate clinical & counselling services to the people with diabetic foot problem & people with diabetes.

CME programmes are conducted periodically for General Practitioners and other specialists in and around Odisha to update their knowledge on diabetes at C.D.R.F.
